Wealth Management Communications Specialist

Position: Communications Specialist Department: AE Wealth Management Marketing Reporting to: Senior Director of AE Wealth Management Marketing Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite Overview: Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a dynamic Communication Specialist to join our AE Wealth Management Marketing team.
In this position you will play a vital role in ensuring communication needs are being identified, strategized, developed, and executed.
This position is responsible for working alongside internal and external stakeholders to help develop content for our advisors, their clients, our staff and the general public.

(examples could include: press releases, memos, newsletters, eblasts, social media posts, talking points) What you’ll do: Work with the Senior Director of Marketing and internal stakeholders to help craft effective internal and external communications messages Develop & execute communication strategies and plans; help process, track, proof, and follow up on initiatives from concept to execution Identify public promotional opportunities and build strategies; work with partners to execute, track and ensure the opportunities are being leveraged to the fullest extent Oversee all digital communications including but not limited to monthly emails, social media, blog posts, and advisor/client facing communication campaigns Manage the compliance review process for marketing content Research and gather information on potential topics and deliverables for internal and external use Work with internal sales teams on communication lists and collaborate with the corporate marketing team on various projects Monitor marketing content metrics, utilizing available data to analyze performance, identify emerging trends, and make necessary optimizations Experience you’ll bring: At least 5-10 years’ experience in communications and/or PR Experience in financial services; familiarity with industry terms/products Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting marketing content including newsletters, memos, press releases, eblasts, etc Solid organizational, time management and problem-solving skills; the ability to meet deadlines with frequent interruptions and competing priorities Exceptional service and relationship building skills A sense of ownership and responsibility Bonus Points: Bachelor’s or Advanced degree with an emphasis in communications, public relations, journalist, marketing, or business preferred Experience utilizing email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc) Experience with salesforce or other CRM systems What you’ll get: Amazing benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k (with matching options) Generous PTO package upon your start date Access to an on-site café, gym and primary care Continuous personal and professional development opportunities Recognition for hard work & exemplary performance Employee sponsored events…and more!
