ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in executing marketing programs that drive new trips to the property, incent incremental player trips, increase gaming revenue and maintain customer loyalty Assists in the planning and implementation of all Special Events, Promotions and Entertainment Assists in the emceeing of all promotions, events and entertainment as needed Assists in proofing Advertising, Direct Mail, Special Event and Promotion collateral to ensure copy and variable data is accurate Coordinates support from other departments to ensure promotion execution and awareness Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same Participate in meetings to develop ideas for future promotions and events as needed Record expenses for each event and promotion Respond to inquiries from customers for information regarding upcoming events, promotions, and entertainment Responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promotion a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests Develops promotion and event proposals within defined budgetary and strategic parameters Develops implementation timelines and task lists and coordinates all aspects of promotions and events with Advertising, IT, Direct Mail, Food & Beverage, etc.
Reconciles event manifests, vendor invoices and assists with analysis of promotions and events Resolves guest complaints and disputes, exercising discretion and judgment Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Required Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related degree.
An additional 5+ years of gaming experience or 3+ years of professional event experience, along with a High School Diploma, may be substituted for the education requirement Dependable and flexible to work various shifts: split days off may be required Ability to speak effectively before large groups of customers Excellent customer service, communication and telephone skills Ability to negotiate with vendors Strong decision making, planning and organizational skills Friendly, outgoing, displays initiative, professional and team player A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment Preferred 2+ years’ of experience in areas of: event planning, budgeting and income generation Previous experience with Microsoft Office software, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and database creation Previous experience with entertainment bookings Experience in a gaming related field PHYSICAL, MENTAL, & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino Exert force and/or lifts or carries objects weighing up to 40 pounds occasionally Must have a sense of urgency and keep up with fast paced business practices Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations while maintaining organization and meeting deadlines Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel and grip items when necessary Must be able to work in areas containing high noise levels and secondary smoke Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast paced environment Must be able to read, write, and understand English Indian Preference Exercised Prairie Band Casino & Resort reserves the right to make changes to the above job descriptions whenever necessary.
