*Position Purpose*
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining an HR Strategy that is in line with the company’s goals, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
*Essential Functions and Basic Duties*
*1.
Responsible for payroll processing, including supporting documentation, withholding payments and employee records.
This includes the following:*
* Process employee payroll entry and timesheets.
* Payroll deductions and garnishment orders.
* Employee file maintenance.
* Process PTO requests.
* Respond to unemployment notices
* Verification of employment and wages.
*2.
Human Resource Administration, support HR Manager with:*
* New hire paperwork and system entry
* Form I-9s and E-Verify entry.
* Benefit Administration
* Recruiting
* Onboarding
* Employee Records
* Scheduling drug tests
* Terminations
*3.
Responsible for creating management and payroll reports, which includes:*
* Certified payroll reports.
* Union reporting.
*4.
Responsible for various other duties, which includes:*
* Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications*
*1.
Education:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Bachelor’s degree and experience in Human Resources can be used in lieu of HR degree.
*2.
Knowledge:*
* Experience with payroll and accounting systems preferred
* Payroll and payroll tax laws preferred
* Microsoft Office
* ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP
*3.
Experience:*
* 2 years minimum in Human Resources
* 1-2 years’ experience with payroll and/or accounting preferred
* SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
*4.
Skills and abilities:*
* Time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Work well in a team environment
* Able to maintain confidential information
* Managing competing demands
*Physical Demands:*
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently, the equivalent of Level 1 placement on the Physical Capacity test administered by KBIWCF.
Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing.
